2026 Kia K5
The 2026 Kia K5 turns up with a bit more attitude than expected. At Everett Kia in Batesville, AR, it feels like the car that didn’t get the memo about blending in, low, wide, and just interesting enough to make you glance back at it in a parking lot. It still does the daily grind, of course. It just does it with a bit more flair, whether commuting along Highway 167, Highway 25, or heading toward Magness and Newark.
Trim Levels
LXS FWD starts things off in a straightforward way, giving you the essentials without fuss. It’s clean, simple, and gets on with the job—exactly what many drivers want. GT-Line FWD and GT-Line AWD bring the visual punch. Sharper styling, gloss black accents, and the option of AWD give it a more planted, confident feel, especially when the weather turns or the roads get slick in Saline County or on the scenic byways around Lake Batesville. EX shifts toward comfort, adding more premium materials and features that make longer drives feel easier and a bit more relaxed. GT is where things get properly lively, with more aggressive styling, quad-tip exhaust, and performance brakes, perfect for highway runs along I-167 or weekend trips to nearby Ozark hills.
Performance
The standard 2.5L 4-cylinder engine produces 191 hp and 181 lbs. ft. of torque, which is perfectly adequate for daily driving around downtown Batesville or along local highways. It’s smooth, predictable, and easy to live with. The GT’s turbocharged 2.5L engine produces 290 hp and 311 lbs. ft. of torque, paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, delivering quick, exhilarating acceleration for drives along Highway 167, scenic Lake Batesville, or routes to Magness and Newark.
In standard form, the K5 is composed and easygoing, with a ride that handles uneven roads in Batesville and Saline County without fuss. Steering is light enough for city driving but provides enough feedback to feel connected. The GT sharpens the dynamics with a sport-tuned suspension, reaching 0–60 mph in about 5.4 seconds, while available AWD on GT-Line models adds confidence when driving in rain, light snow, or on winding Arkansas backroads.
Interior
Inside, the K5 balances clean design with usable space. With 105.3 cu. ft. of passenger volume, there’s room for everyone. Materials improve as you move up the range, with SynTex seating, heated and ventilated front seats, and the available panoramic sunroof. The trunk offers 15.6 cu. ft. of cargo space, ideal for groceries, luggage for trips to Lake Batesville, or weekend adventures through surrounding areas.
Technology
The available 12.3-inch or 24-inch panoramic display blends the instrument cluster and infotainment system seamlessly. Wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ come standard. Features like a wireless charger, over-the-air updates, and Digital Key 2.0 simplify daily use, while the available Bose® audio system provides premium sound during drives along Highway 167, Highway 25, or scenic backroads of Batesville and surrounding communities.
Safety Features
Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist+ is standard, including Auto Emergency Braking with pedestrian, cyclist, and junction turning detection, Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist. Optional upgrades like a 360° Surround View Monitor, Blind-Spot View Monitor, Navigation-Based Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, and Safe Exit Assist provide added protection for commuting in Batesville, highway trips to Little Rock, or weekend drives to Magness and surrounding scenic areas.
